When I came to Judson University the school at the time was not using the Shelly Cashman Series for its computer technology courses, and I knew that was a mistake. I am, and have been, a strong supporter of Shelly Cashman software textbooks because I believe they are the best I have seen to date in terms of detailing what students need to learn to use the software applications.

I teach a variety of online courses in Continuing Education for Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, and Publisher. The Shelly Cashman books are so easy to follow I find that even students taking the courses online have fewer questions after going through the material in the textbooks. We have done so well with these books in our online courses that our traditional courses are now using them as well.

We use the same course layout based on the Shelly Cashman textbooks so we are able to keep all of our classes consistent. It makes setting up and running the courses easier on us.

Students really like the Shelly Cashman textbooks. They love the layout. The order in which the steps and tasks are presented and then followed through is very easy for them to follow and comprehend. Also, my adult students love the books! They enjoy the variety of assignments presented—even Cases and Places!

Over time our enrollments in software classes has been increasing. We now offer a Software Applications certificate when students complete the software courses (12 credits). One of the reasons students keep taking more software classes is the satisfaction they experience in the course design and the textbooks.

We are very pleased to be using Shelly Cashman Series books.
